NEW YORK – June 13, 2023 – Five attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP have been named 2023 BTI Client Service All-Stars by the BTI Consulting Group. According to BTI, attorneys are selected based on more than 350 interviews with top legal decision makers at large organizations with over $700 million in annual revenue, conducted between January 2022 and March 2023.

Included on the list this year are Tiffany A. Blofield, shareholder in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice in the firm’s Minneapolis office; Lori G. Cohen, vice chair of the firm and co-chair of the Global Litigation Practice and Trial Practice Group in the Atlanta office; Brian L. Duffy, chief executive officer of the firm and chair of the Global Litigation Practice in the Denver office; Gregory E. Ostfeld, vice chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and co-chair of the Chicago office’s Litigation Practice; and Jeff E. Scott, co-chair of the Global Litigation Practice in the Los Angeles office.

Scott also is one of just four attorneys of the 293 included in the report who is cited by more than one client for delivering exemplary client service. BTI noted that clients praised these attorneys for their thoughtful and pragmatic approaches to their work, their thorough approach without overcomplicating matters, and their listening skills.

The consulting group said that “top legal decision makers single out the attorneys delivering the absolute best client service — better than all others.” Additionally, there is only one way to become a BTI Client Service All-Star: for corporate counsel to single out an attorney for client service – with no prompts or suggestions. BTI says it did not accept law firm submissions, self-referrals, or suggestions for inclusion in the report.

Duffy previously served as a Greenberg Traurig president and as chair of the firm’s 700-member Global Litigation Department. A true “working CEO,” Duffy focuses his practice on trial and appellate work in the class action, employment, energy, commercial contract, and product liability areas, serving as counsel in high-profile cases throughout the United States. Additionally, Duffy is recognized for his inclusive and effective “big picture” leadership methods and personable communication style. He has helped to further position the firm as a global, highly respected, diverse, and innovative “go-to” firm for complex matters in some of the most critical areas of practice, business markets, and industry sectors.

Cohen leads a group of over 700 attorneys nationally and internationally as co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Litigation Practice. Upon joining the firm, Cohen created the Trial Practice Group and Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice. Under her leadership, this practice rose through the ranks and grew to include over 140 attorneys in more than 30 offices in the United States and globally. Nationally recognized for her trial record of 58 defense verdicts, Cohen has served as national, regional, and trial counsel for numerous medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, handling all types of litigation, including class actions, multidistrict litigation, and trials nationally. Cohen and her team routinely take complex cases to trial and win, including some of the most complex mass torts in history.

This is the third year Ostfeld has been on the BTI All-Stars list. For more than two decades, Ostfeld has practiced litigation with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical device companies, the financial services sector, and the consumer products sector. Ostfeld’s litigation practice is nationwide; he has handled individual, multidistrict, and consolidated cases at the trial court level in dozens of states and has led appeals in nearly every federal appellate court and approximately two dozen state appellate courts. The pillars of Ostfeld’s practice are understanding the client’s business; frequent and consistent communication and collaboration; tailoring legal strategy to client objectives; and principled representation meeting the highest standards of professionalism.

Scott is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with substantial experience acting as lead trial counsel for many cases before judges, jurors, and arbitrators. He represents clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including media and entertainment, intellectual property, class action, unfair competition, commercial contract disputes, and business torts. Scott has been recognized as a “go-to” litigator for major motion pictures studios and gaming companies.

Blofield is involved in a wide range of intellectual property litigation, including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents. She actively works on trademark enforcement, including policing registrations and monitoring for potential infringement. In addition, she advises clients on creative brand protection and trademark clearance. She also represents clients before federal courts, state courts, appellate courts, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
