Laura Foote Reiff to Present Navigating the Impact of Florida’s New E-Verify Mandate: Ensuring Compliance and Maximizing Efficiency

McLEAN, Va. – May 17, 2023 –Laura Foote Reiff, co-founder of the Immigration & Compliance Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will present “Navigating the Impact of Florida’s New E-Verify Mandate: Ensuring Compliance and Maximizing Efficiency” May 22 at 10 a.m. in a virtual myLawCLE program.

Reiff will focus on the implications of Florida’s new E-Verify mandate for employers with 25 or more employees, including resuming the E-Verify system, specific requirements of the law, potential benefits and challenges, and data security/privacy concerns. Enacted May 10, the law’s provisions become effective as of July 1.

Reiff has more than 32 years of experience representing businesses and organizations in the business immigration and compliance field. She is also a business immigration advocate and has long chaired prominent business immigration coalitions. She chairs the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. Immigration & Compliance Practice and is co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Northern Virginia Office. Reiff has served on the boards of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Council, the National Immigration Forum, and is currently the chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s immigration subcommittee and president of the America is Better Board.
