LOS ANGELES – Nov. 3, 2022 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Lisa C. McCurdy was named Trusts and Estates Litigation Attorney of the Year by the Century City Bar Association (CCBA).
The award will be presented to McCurdy Nov. 10 at the 54th Annual Installation Banquet and Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles where the CCBA will introduce new officers and recognize lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to their field, according to the organization.
McCurdy, a member of the Litigation Practice in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has deep experience in trusts and estates litigation, particularly concerning matters with significant real estate and business holdings. Since 2021, McCurdy has represented Britney Spears in Los Angeles probate court in connection with her conservatorship Estate, including securing the suspension of her father as conservator.
In addition to trusts and estates work, McCurdy practices commercial civil litigation, with a particular focus on retail, consumer products and services, and real estate and financing litigation, including commercial lease litigation. She also practices in the area of animal protection law, regularly volunteering her time and litigating cases on behalf of both animal protection groups and individual clients while working on improving legislation and education in an effort to improve the treatment of animals.
McCurdy is co-chair of the Greenberg Traurig Women’s Initiative, an affinity group dedicated to the inclusion and advancement of women at the firm and in the wider legal profession.
