LOS ANGELES – July 28, 2022 – Michael H. Davis, a shareholder and co-chair of the Los Angeles Real Estate Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was recognized by Bloomberg Law as a “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” honoree. The selected attorneys represent the best of the future of the legal profession, according to the publication.
Davis has represented clients in hundreds of real estate deals across the United States with an aggregate value of more than $15 billion. Since the beginning of 2022, he has advised clients on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $2.5 billion. Davis’s ability to handle complex transactions has earned the trust of his clients, who regularly tap him to lead cross-office, multidisciplinary legal teams for their most important deals. Within a dynamic and fast-moving real estate market, the constant variable throughout his projects is their impact on neighborhoods and cities, providing new economic opportunities for investors and members of those communities.
“Mike brings a drive and commitment to excellence to everything he does, which is why he represents everything our firm looks for in its future leaders,” said Gregory A. Fishman, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Los Angeles office. “He has risen to challenges put before him, and we’re excited to see the extraordinary heights that Mike will achieve in his career.”
Davis was recently named a Law 360 Real Estate “Rising Star” and as an “Up and Coming” attorney by Chambers USA’s Real Estate Guide. As the co-hiring partner for the Los Angeles office and co-chair of its summer associate program, Davis serves as a role model and mentor, particularly to other young Black attorneys and law students. He hopes to ensure the pipeline into the legal industry pushes the needle on diversity, equity, and inclusion. In the local community, Davis recently represented pro bono a charter school in the acquisition and development of its Los Angeles campus and a church in South Los Angeles in a joint venture and leasing matters related to an affordable housing project.
