MIAMI – Oct. 25, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A.. was recognized for its pro bono work by the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) at the museum’s 12th annual Corporate Luncheon on Oct. 23. Miami office Shareholder Robert S. Fine, chair of the ADA, Accessibility, Building & Life Safety Codes Practice, accepted on behalf of the firm.
Fine has been representing PAMM on a pro bono basis in relation to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for more than three years, helping the museum to ensure it is accessible to all visitors. The recognition also honors the work of Miami Litigation Associate Robert S. Galbo.
As Miami-Dade County’s flagship art museum, PAMM’s 200,000-square foot campus in downtown Miami provides an educational and civic forum for Miami-Dade County residents and visitors to enjoy modern and contemporary art.
“I am proud of the pro bono work we have done for the Pérez Art Museum Miami because it has a direct impact on the community,” Fine said. “By supporting the museum, we are contributing to the vitality of the arts and culture community, and making the museum accessible to all patrons, regardless of their disability.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Fine focuses his practice on land use, zoning, historic preservation, environmental, and administrative law. His work ranges from representation before local governments for zoning and other development approvals to building code appeals, code enforcement, and unsafe structure defense. At a state level, his work includes petitions for declaratory statements, lobbying for and challenging building code provisions, and other administrative rulemaking related to his practice areas.
