New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting, Environmental & Energy Law Section, 2024: A Legal Odyssey

Steven Russo, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Environmental Practice and chair of the firm’s New York Environmental Practice is a program co-chair for this year's NYSBA, Environmental & Energy Law Section (EELS) Annual Meeting.  Program highlights for this year's annual meeting include federal wetlands regulation in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Sackett decision, renewable energy updates including developments in offshore wind transmission in New York, the impact of DEC’s regulations under the CLCPA, and the impact of artificial intelligence on legal practice.   The section's luncheon keynote speaker is Paul Simon, Regional Counsel, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  Steven Russo and other members of the EELS leadership will provide the welcome and introduction for the section.  Following, Steven is a panelist for the continuing legal education program, "New York Renewables Siting and Development: Where do we go from here?" along with fellow panelists:

  • Peter Costello, Esq., General Counsel, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
  • Amanda Lefton, Vice President of Development of the U.S. East, RWE Offshore Holdings
