Updates Regarding the German Patent Act and The Unified Patent Court

Greenberg Traurig hosted a panel discussion titled Updates Regarding the German Patent Act and The Unified Patent Court on June 15.

Description: At long last, the Unitary Patent (UP) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) will be launched in Europe this year. This eagerly awaited new system will provide uniform protection and litigation across most EU member states on a one-stop-shop basis, providing significant cost advantages and reducing administrative burdens. But exactly how will the new system work? Is it a one-fits-all solution for every client? What are the alternatives? Should we recommend subscribing to the UPC to our clients? This talk, which will discuss all of the above and more, is designed to give you our honest review of the benefits and potential risks and reasons to avoid the new system.
