WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jan. 31, 2025 – Jeffery M. Chiow, co-chair of the Government Contracts Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the 4th Annual Military Veteran Startup Conference in San Francisco, California, Feb. 6.
He will speak on the panel, “The Next Frontier: Military Veteran Founders Pushing the Frontiers of Space Technology.” The panel will cover opportunities that the high risk, high complexity space industry presents for military veterans to expand the realm of what is possible. The required balance of discipline and risk is a match for veteran leaders who are comfortable navigating in challenging environments with incomplete information. Chiow will focus on how he helps clients navigate the legal and regulatory landscape for space and defense technology companies.
Chiow is a founding co-chair of the firm’s Veterans@GT affinity group and has deep experience in space, aerospace, defense, and national security matters. He represents clients in litigation, investigations, and deals involving public contracts, including bid protests with tens of billions of federal dollars at issue. Leveraging the firm’s global resources, he helps clients with complex matters implicating export controls, foreign ownership control and influence, Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States review, and various procurement, small business, and other federal regulations.
