Greenberg Traurig’s Ernesto Danache IV Named U.S. Chair of AIEN YN Group

HOUSTON – April 4, 2023 –Ernesto Danache IV, a Corporate Practice associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Houston office, was named U.S. chair of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) Young Negotiators (YN) Group. AIEN is an independent not-for-profit professional membership association with thousands of members that supports international energy negotiators around the world.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as U.S. chair of AIEN’s YN Group during such a critical time,” Danache said. “As our overall objectives of providing tools for career growth and development in the energy sector, providing resources of the highest standard to members, and engaging the broader AIEN membership remain the same, we also are looking to be on the forefront of the energy transition. I look forward to working with the AIEN team on these efforts.”

The YN Group, founded in 2009, is a special interest group for AIEN members who are either under the age of 40 and currently working in or interested in pursuing an international energy negotiations career.

Danache focuses his practice on complex domestic and international corporate and transactional matters. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he regularly works with clients doing business domestically and internationally across a range of industries, with an emphasis in the renewable energy, power, and oil and gas sectors. His areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, project and infrastructure finance, tax equity, project development, corporate formations and governance, domestic and cross-border business structuring, and general corporate and business law matters. Danache has worked with clients from around the world, including the United States, Latin America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
