AMSTERDAM – 26 april 2021 – The Amsterdam office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP (GT) has added Ruud van Bork to its notarial practice as a shareholder and civil law notary in the Corporate Practice. Van Bork, formerly senior partner with Loyens & Loeff, started at GT on 19 April 2021.
Cees van Oevelen, co-managing shareholder GT Amsterdam explains that Ruud van Bork’s arrival once again confirms the firm’s robust growth: “Our notarial team is growing on a variety of levels. Candidate civil-law notary Jeroen den Dunnen was already appointed as shareholder earlier this year,” Van Oevelen said. “Having started with us during his studies in 2006 at the age of 19, he exemplifies how GT offers room to grow, from the very beginning of your career to a position as shareholder. But there is also room for expansion from the outside: candidate civil-law notaries joining GT earlier this year were Alexander van Hövell as a shareholder, Louisa van Isselmuden as a local partner, and Tess Lont as an associate.”
Van Bork advises national and international corporations on M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions. He also works with clients on joint ventures, management buyouts and buyins, corporate governance, and corporate structures and reorganisations.
“I am excited with my move to GT. The firm’s enormous drive and hands-on approach at partner level, with all the available resources of one global firm, is a perfect match for both today’s commercial corporate practice and the needs of our clients,” Van Bork said.
