Firm elevates 31 to shareholder, 20 to of counsel
NEW YORK – Feb. 11, 2015 - In addition to announcing record financial performance for 2014, international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has named its shareholder and of counsel class of 2015. The firm elevated 31 attorneys to shareholder and 20 to of counsel.
“In 2014, Greenberg Traurig's long term focus was on delivering top-tier quality and real value to its clients while applying sustained financial discipline to its own business. This resulted in record financial performance across the board: the highest gross revenues, revenues per lawyer and profits per equity partner in the firm's 47-year history,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Executive Officer.
“Those named to our class of 2015 represent the firm’s commitment to excellence in the delivery of legal services. They live the special culture that is Greenberg Traurig. Because of professionals like these throughout the firm, we have been able to remain committed to unmatched coverage of the United States. We also have a highly focused international expansion based on excellence and strength rather than simply geographical spread that in itself adds no value to our clients and which could dilute our quality, culture, and financial condition,” Rosenbaum added.
Greenberg Traurig 2014 Results Highlights
- Gross revenues: $1.271 Billion
- Profits per equity partner: $1.425 Million
- Year-end headcount: 1836 lawyers, its largest headcount in years
- Record per-capita compensation across combined partner groups
- Overall, overhead spend down 6.7% from the prior year
“We have remained a one-firm model globally, focused on the intense execution of our own independent vision. As a direct result, our performance has been very stable during this entire period, and we have remained steadfastly committed to the culture which defines us: top quality, intense service, business collaboration, strong financial discipline in all areas, merit-based compensation, respect, trust and empowerment of the individual,” said Rosenbaum.
The firm appears in The BTI Client Service A-team 2015, 2014 and 2013 reports among “The BTI Client Service 30,” an elite group of 30 law firms most recognized, by clients, for providing excellent client service. It is also among the “Power Elite” in the 2014 BTI Client Relationship Scorecard report assessing the nature and strength of law firms' client relationships.
