Global Law firm Greenberg Traurig advised AEW on the acquisition of a new logistics building in Hanover-Sehnde from the E-Gruppe. The purchase of the approximately 50,000 square-meter logistics property was executed as part of an off-market transaction excluding the public and the publicly accessible real estate market.
The logistics center, which extends over two buildings and is divided into five units, was completed at the end of 2023 and is fully let. AEW, a global real estate investment and asset manager, acquired the property for its Eurocore-Fund, which focuses on sustainable construction and long-term profitability.
Greenberg Traurig advised on the purchase as part of a forward-purchase sale, where the acquisition takes place during the project development phase and the full purchase price is paid after project completion.
Background:
Greenberg Traurig regularly advises AEW on real estate transactions in the logistics, office, and commercial sectors. In 2021, the Greenberg Traurig team advised AEW on behalf of a German investor on the acquisition of a city logistics project near Warsaw.
